Flawed or Unflawed

So, I had a conversation with God, while I was out watering our horses. The stars were out and shining bright, there were so many.

“God, how are we perfect? We have so many flaws, how do you see beauty in us?”

He said “Don’t you see beauty in the stars?”

“Yes, I do, They are perfect. Beautiful in every way. The Bible says that you set the stars with Your finger.”

He replied, “Not one star up there is perfect. They were only perfect before the fall. How do you see perfection in the stars? How do you see beauty?”

“But they were put there by You, with Your finger. When you look further there are so many colors and so much beauty.”

“Yes, and you are the work of my hands and you are alive by my breath, I breathed life into you. You see, I made you with my hands then used My breath to bring you to life, much more valuable than something I set into the heavens with my finger.”

“But I’ve made so many mistakes. I’m not perfect, I’m not beautiful.”

“The stars are flawed, yet you see perfection, you are flawed, but I see perfection, beauty, I see my Lovely young child, trying to do the impossible. I love you child, but I Am your creator, I made you perfect in every way. In the way you view the stars, able to look past the flaws, I am able to look past the flaws in you, and see a faultless, wonderful child.”

Beauty and perfection is found in many things, but can we look past the flaws of others to find it? Can we look past the attitude of the broken teenager, or the blemished face and arms of a young person? Because laying behind every flaw is a person that is broken in some way or another. A lot of times we look at ourselves and find this isn’t perfect, that doesn’t look good, or we look at our personality, and think I wish I acted like that or I don’t want that trait, and we begin to see how much we don’t like ourselves. Some one says you are mediocre, or that you are a moron, it sends a sting that is felt in the bones.

But this is where the good new comes,

Psalms 139:14

I praise You because I am Fearfully and WONDERFULLY made

I struggle with it, I struggle to believe that I am perfect, that I am wonderfully made, it is an almost daily battle to remember who I am in Christ. But when I come to a point of being able to rest in that person that God sees, I feel precious, I feel important, I feel like the beloved child of God I am.

I know it can be a struggle but when you begin to feel yourself thinking negatively about yourself  here is God’s point of view and just start speaking it over yourself, it may sound funny and it may make you angry to start with but with this in mind and the scriptures I pray it will help you to become strong in your weakness.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

We are the masterpiece created by HIS hands with HIS breath breathed into us, we are created IN Christ.

Matthew 6:20-22

20Looking at his disciples, he said:

“Blessed are you who are poor,
for yours is the kingdom of God.
21 Blessed are you who hunger now,
for you will be satisfied.
Blessed are you who weep now,
for you will laugh.
22 Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you and insult you
and reject your name as evil,
because of the Son of Man.

In our weakness, in our flaws, in our imperfections, we are Blessed. We are the chosen ones of God. For it is the humble who will see the kingdom of heaven.

Deuteronomy 32:4
He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

We are His handiwork and if His work is Perfect that means we are created perfect.

I hope this is of any help, You are loved and dearly cherished, God looks past the flaws and sees perfect beauty, whether you are a girl, or a boy, you are loved and made perfect. God loves you to much to leave you where you are at, let Him love you and see yourself the way He sees you.

God Bess,

Jess

Clouds

Some times our relationship with God gets cloudy. Some times no matter how hard we hope some times you just can’t see Him. No matter how hard you search. As time goes on and you wait for Him you can see Him shining through. Then about the time you get comfortable and you can see Him life throws something else at you and your view gets clouded. A lot of times the clouds are so thick you just can’t see. All you can do is see the darkness around you and hear all of the commotion. It turns into chaos and confusion. You can’t keep anything straight. You start to think God has left you but all the while He is right there. Just because you can’t see Him doesn’t mean He isn’t there. If you will hold still and wait, quit trying to solve things on your own, you’ll see that He is peaking through the clouds. Quit trying to find your own solutions and give it over to God. He will never leave you or forsake you. Even in the darkness and in the light of day. He is always right there. in the chaos and the pain, if you look for Him and maybe even wait you will find Him and you will see everything He has done.
